CUST and UPM Hold Fruitful Talk



The Central University of Science and Technology (CUST) of Bangladesh and the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) of Malaysia have agreed to extend cooperation for each other for benefitting mutually in the field of higher education. The senior leaders of both the institutions expressed their willingness in this regard in a meeting held at the UPM campus at 0900-1145 hours on 14 April 2016. The UPM team was led by its Deputy Director Prof Dr. Mansor B. Ahmed while it also included among others Ms Shahriah Membar, Head of Marketing and Branding Section and Nur Maisarah Roslan, Head of Mobility Section; The CUST team was led by its VC, Prof. Dr. Gazi Mahabubul Alam, FRSA while the other delegation members were Doctor M A Jalil, member BoT; Prof. Gazi M A Salam, Treasurer & Member Secretary, BoT; Assoc. Prof. Abul Quasem Al-Amin, Visiting Prof, CUST; and its Registrar. Various areas identified for cooperation between CUST and UPM includes – Staff Development programme for CUST, Review of Course and Curriculum for CUST, PhD programme for CUST faculties etc. The historic meeting culminated with the exchange of souvenirs and light refreshment offered by UPM.
